As a child I am a big fan of super heroes and superman is my
ultimate idol. In my dreams I always fly with him bearing those super strength
and power. But in reality, I was fragile, sickly little boy. I was always
absent from school for being sick most of time.
As I grew older I kept searching for a health plan that would
change my life. Until I discovered
this book authored by Jordan S. Rubin who opened my eyes to the key of achieving
a healthy well-being.
One chapter in the book that caught my attention while browsing
its contents was – “How to get sick”. I’m sure all of us have our share with
these practices and continuously guilty of doing these “Modern Prescription for
Illness”:
HOW TO GET SICK: A Modern
Prescription for Illness.
1. Stay out of the sun.
2. Go to bed after midnight.
3. Never let them see you sweat.
4. Take Mega Vitamins.
5. Use fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash, and
drink fluoridated water.
6. Use artificial sweeteners and avoid sugars
7. Shower everyday but don’t bathe (take a
bath)
8. Swim in chlorinated water (and drink and
shower with chlorinated water).
9. Don’t breastfeed your baby.
10. Get tattoos.
11. Get all your immunization shots.
12. Travel in airplanes often.
13. Expose yourself to electro magnetic energy.
14. Use a lot of skin care products, cosmetics, hare care
products, nail care products, shampoos, soaps, perfumes, shaving cream, suntan
lotion, and antibacterial soaps.
15. Take lots of medication.
16. Get your cavities filled with mercury.
17. Do aerobic exercise.
18. Wear contact lenses and receive implants of other foreign
objects such as silicone breast implants.
19. Live in toxic home with toxic paint, carpet, mold, paraffin
candles, etc.
20. Wear synthetic fabrics.
21. Breathe with shallow breaths
22. Swallow your food without chewing well (or at all).
23. Use plastic food storage products, popular food wraps, and
re-use plastic drinking bottles.
24. Eat grocery store produce and processed foods treated with
pesticides, herbicides, animal growth hormones, and antibiotics; don’t forget hybridized,
irradiated, and genetically altered foods.
25. Wear tight under clothing.
26. Undergo surgery to remove “unnecessary body parts”.
27. Visit your medical doctor often.
I’m sure you are now wondering how these will make you sick?
and why you exposed yourself to products and ideas that will endanger your
health later on in your life. Or you may want me to explain further – I will be
doing that on my next blogs.
